7 Schools Reach Completion, Marco Cable Management Case Study.
Marco has supplied cable containment solutions to support services and construction group, Interserve, for the first batch of schools to be funded using the Government’s new PF2 private finance route.
The scheme, valued at £100m and procured under the Priority School Building Programme, consists of seven secondary schools located across Hertfordshire, Luton and Reading.
Marco has supplied Elite 3 upvc dado trunking along with accessories to electrical contractor, Interserve Engineering Services.

More than 8,900 pupils will benefit from the construction programme, with classes at each school to be taught in new, purpose-built buildings.
The secondary schools included in this Hertfordshire, Luton and Reading batch are Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School, Hatfield; Goffs School, near Cheshunt; Kings Langley School, Kings Langley; Longdean School, Hemel Hempstead; Reading Girls’ School, Reading; Stopsley High School, Luton; and Westfield Academy, Watford.
Steve added: “It’s really exciting to see the second wave of PFI beginning again that will kick start many education building programmes that were previously on hold or shelved under the recession.”
